New! Want Start-up Directions?

Go to “comments” below and list your name + email and put “SATS” in the comments section.

You will learn EXACTLY how to teach “Bridges” and “Targets”. In training, Bridges are signals that tell the animal how he is doing, and if you check out the video section, you can hear many examples. While Bridges tell an animal how he is doing, Targets tell him where he needs to be or look, to receive information from the trainer. Using these 2 tools, we teach anything to anybody. So can you.

Mark McCabe (SATS Trainer) has been kind enough to help train Benjamin, a food-aggressive and tactile- aggressive dog I am currently fostering. I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful training system! We still have a good bit of work to do, but the behavioral improvements are already remarkable. Thanks to you both for creating, refining and sharing your best practices!

I am still trying, after a whole year, to get going with SATS with my horse but I’m very frustrated because I’m a visual learner. I’ve read the manual but need to see things done as well. The only video I’ve found at all helpful is the one of Kayce and the Irish Setter teaching r/l shoulder. Julie Kinsey’s video is useless what with all the background noise and almost no light. The others are demos of what can be done after you’ve mastered the basics. There are no seminars listed anywhere near me. I would gladly pay for a decent video that showed me basic skills. Any plans to do this yet?????? Please!!!! All animal training is really people training!

Please send me the SATS start up info. I have a new BC puppy and would like to use your method. Your voice sounds gentle, encouraging and loving. I am VERY impressed and believe this is going to strengthen the bond between my very sweet and loving puppy, who desperately wants to please me. I believe that using SATS will help me do right by him.

I am so pleased to find this method! I have learned about the CT method, and have used it a little with good success, but have second-guessed myself out of using it quite often! I’m so glad to find something that offers the animal more information, and makes it easier for the trainer to communicate!

Two questions/thoughts:
1. Would love to see a full-length trainng video.
2. Are there certification programs available?

Hi, saw today an article in a dog magazine about SATS and you. Never heard of this technique before, but it seems something similar like have used -not intentionally- to train my dogs! Very interesting technique, I want to know all about it. I have read that a book about SATS is going to be translated into Dutch, can’t wait. Could you send me the free Start up set about SATS? Thank you, and hope to see you next time in Holland!
