SATS Spoken Here!!
These Friends and Affiliates have staff onboard who “Speak SATS”. They can “Name and Explain (R) things for animals, helping them to understand and cope with events and experiences. They can also communicate non-verbally using Touch (R), and give support even from hundreds of feet away, using Support and Success Signals (R). Some are the businesses of our Certified Trainers, but more and more are led by enlightened animal professionals, who are stepping into the future of training, care, management and communication.

as i write this i find myself in a bind, after 1 1/2 yr of good behavior our Akita has become very aggerssive toward our other dog, who she has been around for about 1 yr. i am at a loss as what to do, and i would greatly appreciate you advice or help.

We have recently been adopted by 2(just gone 5 months old) deaf dal puppies - from Death Row at the local RSPCA. Do you have any trainers/contacts available in Australia? we are in Bendigo Victoria (central victoria). Would appreciate any suggestions we also have a very anti-pet neighbour who is having issues with our new family members and the fact that we don’t YELL at them. We don’t see the point… it’s not like uni-laterally deaf dals will ‘hear’ us.
Would appreciate any suggestions on communicating so we can understand each other

Hi Jane,
I was in Australia in 2003, but there are no certified trainers in Australia yet. I hope to return in the near future and leave behind some SATS Certified Trainers. I will announce it on this list when I do, and it might be that you will either be there or even help bring it about.

I am looking for a career working with dogs and am exploring dog behaviour training in the UK. I found your site more than inspiring. It answers my dearest wish for better animal/human communication, having previously worked in one of the largest re-homing centres in the UK and have been so often unable to bridge the gap especially with sick and panicking animals. To be able to say “It’s ok just let the vet take a look.” Wow. Is any training available by yourself in the UK. I’ve just emailed you to order a manual, but I’d want some seminar, practical study as well. Forgive long message. Best wishes and thanks!

You are so lucky to be in the UK. Contact our liaison, Sue Ketland, Wood Green Animal Shelters , Cambridgeshire(sue.ketland@woodgreen.org.uk and she can get you started. I will be in the UK in March for Crufts, and we are planning a public event and some seminars then. We want you to come, see this in person, for yourself, get involved and help us continue the effort! Please keep me posted on your progress.
