I recently went out to check my horse’s eye, and to remove the rest of the stitches.  A few days previously there were at least 5 left.  Although the stitches were made with dissolving sutures, the vet did not expect them to dissolve, because of the thinness of the tissue of the eyelid.  I had the camera set up to record her eye condition to share with the vet.   I was truly surprised to see the scab and all the stitches absolutely gone, and the eye looking clean and ...

One year, my monkey played a part in the Christmas opera, “Amahl and the Night Visitors”, a story of the miraculous healing of the boy, Amahl, when he helped the three kings to find Jesus. My monkey was involved in a different kind of Christmas miracle. The 550-pound bear that was found hiding out in a New Jersey basement had been living there for weeks. CBS2′s Kathryn Brown spoke to the bear’s “landlord” on Thursday. Frank Annacone, 85, never imagined that a bear would move in with him. “I could have ended up lunch for that big guy,” he said, still expressing disbelief. Cats and Friendship

Cats form friendships – with one another, with people and sometimes, with other animals.  One of the horses at the local stable was friends with one of the barn cats.  She would walk to the stall door to allow the cat to jump on her back, and then carry him around for long periods of time.   See this special video of a cat making friends with a dolphin.   Dolphin and cat friendship

We took video on Friday, but had technical problems,  so took video today again. Three things noted: 1)  My horse does not like this process of messing with her eye.  Nonetheless, she ran to meet us as soon as she heard my call, today (Saturday), just as she did yesterday (Friday).  In other words, she is still very motivated to come be together with us, even though she knows that we are constantly doing things with her eye. 2)  On both days, she appeared very agitated when I spoke about ...
